Randy Renner, Host of Oklahoma's Sunrise News, is a 30 year veteran of the broadcast news business. Most of his career has been spent in Oklahoma. He's done news and sports at KSPI Radio in Stillwater, news and sports at KSWO-TV and Radio in Lawton, news and sports at KWTV in Oklahoma City and news at KDFW-TV in Dallas.

 

Randy was among the first reporters on the scene at the Oklahoma City bombing and he covered the trials of both Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols. He's also reported from Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Shield. He's been in the middle of tornadoes and hurricanes and has also covered Super Bowls and Final Fours. Randy has received three Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio & Televison News Directors Association, an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, a Western Heritage Award from the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum and the Governor's Arts Award from the State of Oklahoma.
