DEQ To Offer Incentive To Purchase Electric Mowers
The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality will give a $100 voucher to people who bring in a gas-powered lawn mower. Oklahoma City metro residents can take their gas mowers on Saturday to the OSU-OKC Farmer's Market. All gas mowers for exchange must be operationally complete and drained of all gasoline and oil.

Inmate Tracking App Is Launched
The Oklahoma Attorney General's Office is offering a new mobile app that victims of crime can use to track inmates.The VINEmobile app allows victims of crime and the public to use smart phones or tablets to get notifications on an inmate's status, including a release date, information about escapes and whether an inmate is being taken to court or is on unsupervised custody.

OG&E Helps The Salvation Army With Box Fan Donation
OG&E will donate 1-thousand box fans today at the Salvation Army's Social Services office at 501 South Harvey. . The Salvation Army provides box fans to qualified senior citizens age 62 and older, families with infants under 6 months of age and the disabled with chronic illnesses such as cardiovascular disease, asthma, emphysema and people taking psychotropic and other medications. Fans will be distributed between 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m., Monday – Thursday.

New Sooner Poll Is Released
A just released "Sooner Poll" finds that more than 75 percent of those surveyed support legislation to force school districts to put storm shelters in schools, but can't agree how to pay for them.   To install shelters in all schools, it would cost between $500,000 and $1 million, per school. There are over 1,500 public schools in the state.  Governor Fallin doesn't support such a mandate.

Sandridge Chief Is Fired
Sandridge Energy firing CEO Tom Ward and naming James Bennett as CEO.    Ward was terminated without cause which entitles him to more than 90 million dollars in cash and Sandridge stock.  Ward founded SandRidge in 2006 after acquiring a controlling interest in Riata Energy and moving the company to Oklahoma City from Amarillo, Texas
