The Oklahoma Association of REALTORS® and its more than 8,300 members are working to help individuals displaced by the recent tornadoes.
OAR has set up a Facebook group to help their displaced neighbors in Moore, Edmond, Shawnee and other towns across the state find temporary and long-term housing solutions in the wake of the recent Oklahoma tornadoes. Displaced families and individuals can visit www.facebook.com/groups/okhomeaid to post their needs. OAR has dedicated Realtors who are regularly monitoring this page and ready to help.
Also, many of OAR’s association offices are serving as drop-off sites for donations to the Salvation Army. They are accepting items including water, sports drinks, diapers, wipes, formula, hand towels, individually wrapped snacks, work gloves, hand sanitizer and sunscreen. President Barack Obama will travel to tornado-ravaged Moore, Okla., on Sunday.
White House spokesman Jay Carney says the president will view the tornado damage first-hand. He also plans to meet with victims and first responders.
The monstrous tornado barreled through the Oklahoma City suburb Monday afternoon, demolishing an elementary school and reducing homes to piles of rubble. State authorities say two infants were among the 24 people who perished in the twister.
The town of Moore is a community of 41,000 people located about 10 miles from Oklahoma City.

State health officials say several vendors setting up in Moore to help provide food to residents and workers in the area are failing to follow basic health guidelines. Cleveland County Health Department officials say there have been reports of numerous vendors in the area giving away or selling food for people living and working in the area. The director of the state health department's consumer health service, K.C. Ely, says a check of several vendors found no means for washing hands, water, screening, overhead protection or other basic food safety requirements.

The Oklahoma medical examiner's office says it has positively identified 23 of 24 people killed in the tornado that ripped through the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore, including 10 children. Officials still were trying to contact eight victims' relatives Wednesday, but released the names of 16 others:- Terri Long, 49- Megan Futrell, 29- Case Futrell, 4 months- Shannon Quick, 40- Sydnee Vargyas, 7 months- Karrina Vargyas, 4- Jenny Neely, 38- Antonia Canderaria, 9- Kyle Davis, 8- Janae Hornsby, 9- Sydney Angle, 9- Emily Conatzer, 9- Nicolas McCabe, 9- Christopher Legg, 9- Cindy Plumley, age unknown- Deanna Ward, age unknown

Oklahoma lawmakers are preparing to take up legislation to appropriate $45 million in emergency funds to help pay for recovery efforts following deadly tornadoes in central Oklahoma.
Officials in the Oklahoma Senate say the chamber could take up a measure on Wednesday that would dip into the state's Rainy Day Constitutional Reserve Fund to help pay for recovery efforts.

AAA Oklahoma will be offering Tipsy Tow over the extended Memorial Day holiday period. The service is free and open to the public.
A tow for your car and a ride home for you are available from AAA Oklahoma if you think you’ve had too much to drink at a Memorial Day party and feel unsafe behind the wheel.
AAA Oklahoma’s Tipsy Tow community service program runs from 6 p.m. on Friday, May 24 until 4 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28 in metro Tulsa and Oklahoma City, as well as in Lawton, Enid, Ardmore, Bartlesville, Tahlequah, Shawnee and Muskogee.
To call for Tipsy Tow, dial (800) AAA-HELP – 800-222-4357 – and ask for Tipsy Tow. AAA will provide a free tow and a free ride for the vehicle and up to two people, no questions asked, within a 15-mile radius from point of pickup.

The mayor of the Oklahoma City suburb battered by a monstrous tornado says he is pushing to require safe-room shelters in all new homes.
Glen Lewis will propose an ordinance in the next couple of days at the Moore City Council that would modify building codes to require the construction of reinforced shelters in every new home in the town of 56,000.Lewis says he is confident he'll get the four votes needed on the six-member council. The measure could be in force within months.

The Oklahoma medical examiner's office says two infants are among 24 people killed by the tornado that ripped across the Oklahoma City area this week. The office announcing that it has positively identified 23 of the 24 victims and that 10 of those killed are children.
Among the dead are 4-month-old Case Futrell and 7-month-old Sydnee Vargyas. Both babies died from head injuries.The eight other children ranged in age from 4 years old to 9 years old. Of those, six were suffocated. The other two died from massive injuries.
All the children have been positively identified. Medical examiner's office spokeswoman Amy Elliott says officials still are trying to contact relatives of eight victims.

All Homeland grocery stores are currently accepting donations for the American Red Cross Tornado Relief Fund. Financial contributions can be made at the register in increments of $1, $5 or $10 and if customers are purchasing items to donate, all stores will have bins set up to collect the items at the front of the store.

Moore police confirm two people are in jail after being found looting in a neighborhood. The suspects were arrested at 7th and Kings Manor Drive. The homeowner saw the two men in the rubble of his house, he asked what they were doing and they claimed they were looking for survivors. The resident found his belongings in the suspects pockets.
